Recommended Korean Drama genre Fantasy

Korean dramas have become a must-watch phenomenon nowadays. Many choices of genres seem to be one of the reasons Indonesian people, especially young people, choose to watch Korean dramas. One of the genres that is beyond reason but still enters people's hearts is the Fantasy genre.

Even so, the storyline of the fantasy genre Korean drama cannot be underestimated because of the accuracy in choosing the story so that this genre has quite a lot of fans. It is evident that many dramas of this genre have a fairly high rating.

And, here are recommendations for Korean dramas that have a fantasy genre: 

a.       My Rommate is Gumiho

This drama is about Shin Woo Yeo, played by Jang Ki Yong, who is a Gumiho. Gumiho itself literally means 'nine tailed fox' which appears in folklore and legends in South Korea.

Shin Woo Yeo himself has lived hundreds of years to turn into a fully human. But one night, the Gumiho's beads accidentally moved into the body of a student named Lee Dam, played by Lee Hye Ri.

In the end, Shin Woo Yeo asked Lee Dam to stay with him in order to minimize unexpected events due to the beads on Lee Dam's body.

I highly recommend this drama which has 16 episodes for you lovers of the romantic fantasy genre. But make no mistake, the drama adapted from a webcomic entitled 'Gan Ddeoreojineun Donggeo' also includes humor that will make you laugh.

b.      The King: Eternal Monarch

Lee Min Ho, who doesn't know this handsome actor from the country of ginseng? Well, this drama is starring actors who have no doubt in terms of acting and popularity.

Drama The King: Eternal Monarch tells the story of the king of the Korean Empire, Lee Kon, played by the handsome Lee Min Ho who loves science. The king wishes to close the door that connects his world with the Republic of South Korea.

One night Lee Kon accidentally went to the Republic of South Korea on a horse, and there he met Jung Tae Eul, played by Kim Go Eun who is a police officer. This meeting is the beginning of a different-dimensional love story begins. They also work together to close the connecting door so that it is not misused again.

The drama, which has aired in 2020, was a huge success until it aired exclusively on the Netflix official website and aired in 190 countries.

However, for those of you who are interested in watching this 16 drama, you must fully concentrate on the storyline that is presented because everyone from this drama has 2 different characters.

c.       W-Two World

As the title suggests, this drama has a love story that is separated by 2 worlds, namely the real world and the comic world.

The story is Oh Yeon Joo (played by Han Hyo Joo) who is a doctor whose father is a famous comic writer and illustrator entitled 'W'. The comic is very popular in the market. However, one day Oh Yeon Joo's father mysteriously disappeared leaving behind an unfinished illustration.

Oh Yeon Joo was confused by the illustration of her father where the main character was killed with stab wounds and covered in blood.

When he was confused, suddenly Oh Yeon Joo's clothes were pulled by someone who came from the father's illustration.

And, the main character named Kang Chul (played by Lee Jong Suk) pulled Yeon Joo into his world in order to save her. I also recommend this drama because of its unique story.
